2007 tariff structure

New tariff structure taxis in 2007

At the moment the taxi tariff for streettaxis consists off three parts: starttariff, price/km and the waiting time (more information about this you can find elsewhere on this website).

As from Feb 2008 there will be a new tariff structure for all streettaxis, and from this date every streettaxi must use this new system. Taxi companies will have six months time to change their taximeters into the new system.

In this new tariff structure the timefactor is eliminated, so the new taxiprice will only contain a starttariff (including the first two kilometer) and the price per kilometer if the trip is longer. These new tariffs must be visible on the new tariff-chart from 5 meters distance (this is now 3 meters).

What is the reason for these changes in the tariff structure?

The current structure is not clear enough for the customer. It is too difficult to estimate what the price will be for a certain trip by taxi. To make that easier the timefactor is eliminated from the price. It will therefore be easier to compare the taxiprices of the several available taxicompanies.

At this moment there still are some discussions about these new tariff structure so it is possible that there will be changes before the deadline of Feb 1 2008, so please check this section regularly.

There are also some downloads available, but because they are only available in Dutch they are only mentioned in the Dutch section of this website. When there are English files available from the official channels they will be made available on this website too...
